| An E-communication is similar to a web page, offering the flexibility to include text, images, videos, animations and more information than in classical presentations. The electronic format is ideal for creating a dynamic presentation and offers an extended visibility to the work of authors who have had an abstract accepted for the ERS Congress. E-communications can be viewed at any time during the Congress using one of the computers in the E-communication Area located in Hall 3. They offer a unique opportunity to share ideas, post comments and initiate online discussions with authors and other delegates. Note that access to the E-communications is restricted to registered participants only. Any Congress participant can comment on E-communications through the Chat forum available on the web platform. Authors can directly interact with delegates and answer questions both during and after the Congress, to enable ongoing scientific discussions. All communications accessible from the E-communication Area are scheduled in the Scientific Programme and will be presented during the Congress. E-communications are not regarded as publications. They are not considered as pre-publication, nor are they peer-reviewed or citable. They cannot be copied, printed or e-mailed. All authors of accepted abstracts will have the possibility to create an electronic format of their work. Although the creation is mandatory for authors presenting in E-Communication sessions (including the preparation of up to three slides summarizing the research), authors of abstracts accepted for Thematic Poster and Oral Presentation will be offered the opportunity to produce, in addition to their presentation, an E-communication, in order to increase the visibility of their work and enable delegates to view their poster throughout the Congress outside their official scheduled session. During E-communication sessions, a paper poster (to be provided by the authors) will be displayed around the room, and will be manned by the authors for the first hour. During the second hour, the chairs will lead a general discussion of specific issues related to the session. Detailed instructions on how to create your E-communication will be sent to you by the end of July. |
