FGC underground rail

Fira Barcelona has excellent connections to the city centre via the FGC underground rail network: the nearest stop,"Europa/Fira" is a 10-minute walk from the entrance. Trains for "Europa/Fira" leave the FGC station at ‘Pl. Espanya' approximately every 5 minutes. The journey takes 6 minutes. "Pl. Espanya" is a major transport hub, reached by the metro or a number of buses.

Car

Arriving in Barcelona from the north: head for the Ronda Litoral and take exit 17 signposted "Gran Via M2".

Arriving in Barcelona from the south or west: head for Ronda Litoral and take exit "Barcelona Fires - Gran Via".

From the airport: take Gran Via. The Congress Centre is signposted as Fira Gran Via.
There is plenty of parking available.

Taxi

A taxi from the city centre (Pl.Catalunya) to the Fira takes approximately 20 minutes and will cost around €20.

The security of Congress delegates' persons and belongings is of primary concern to ERS both in selection of host city and in subsequent discussion with local officials and police authorities. Barcelona's rate of serious crime is significantly lower than other leading European Congress and business centres. However, petty criminality is rife.

We advise delegates to keep a close eye on their cash, credit cards and other personal belongings AT ALL TIMES - in the Congress centre, in the street, on public transport - and take their possessions with them when they leave the Congress Centre.

It is also recommended not to wear the Congress badge outside the Congress Centre. Further advice will be provided in your Congress 'Welcome Pack', developed in cooperation with local authorities.
